Agawam Church of the Bible

Adult Ministries

Sunday Morning Adult Discussion

Our second hour on Sunday mornings features a discussion of the morning's message with a chance to share refreshments.

Small Groups

Small groups are intentional gatherings of 6-12 people who meet on a regular basis for the purpose of discovering and growing in Christ.  Small groups give us the opportunity to share Bible study, prayer and fellowship with each other at a variety of times throughout the week at various homes.

Men’s Ministry

The men's ministry consists of a weekly Bible study on Saturday mornings and a variety of social gatherings throughout the year.

Women’s Ministry

The women's ministry consists of a weekly ladies bible study on Tuesday evenings and a variety of social gatherings throughout the year.

Socials

Agawam Church believes informal social gatherings are a great way for to develop relationships with one another.  Throughout the year we have a variety of church-wide social events, including picnics and such things as a square dance and chili cook-off, valentines dance, Christmas party, etc.

Missions

Agawam Church is committed to involvement and support of evangelism in cultures other than our own in accordance with Acts 1:8 and Matt. 28:18-20.  We currently support, as a church, three missionary families along with the following  local ministries:

·        Barrie and Laurie Smith are church planters in New Zealand

·        Tom and Laurel Caldbeck are church planters in Italy

·        Dan and Sue Bisbee are church planters in Senegal, West Africa

·        Springfield Rescue Mission in Springfield, MA

·        Springfield Pregnancy Care Center in Springfield, MA

Our goal is to progressively increase our church budget so that we can continue to support more missionaries and our current missionaries to a greater degree.

We also encourage church members to engage in short-term mission projects.

 Discipleship - Mentoring

Agawam Church uses a study guide to develop and train new christians in a one on one format.  The studies are divided as follows:
1. Dynamic Basics (4 studies)
2. Dynamic Discipling (9 studies)
3. Dynamic Sharing (6 studies)
This is a great way to grow stronger in your christian faith and develop a good relationship with another believer

Annual Family Retreat

Agawam Church goes on a family retreat each summer.  This is a great time of building relationships with family, church family and friends.
